Route Descriptions

Cleethorpes to Wrawby Jn
This part of the route takes in the seaside at Cleethorpes though Grimsby on towards Barnetby, where at Wrawby Jn the route splits into 3 paths, Lincoln, Gainsborough and Scunthorpe.

Wrawby to Thorne
This part of the route takes in Scunthorpe Town and its Steel works and then onto Althorpe where it crosses the river Trent with its lifting bridge and then runs along the navigation canal towards South Thorne Station before it connects up with the Hull to Doncaster part of the route.

Hull to Thorne
You pull away from Hull towards Doncaster, riding along the side of the River Humber towards the famous “Dog Leg” at Gilberdyke and then onto Goole.

Over the swing-bridge that goes over the river Ouse. Note the “Salt and Pepper” towers, West of Goole, as you pass the pathway to Goole Docks on the left.

Its now on towards Doncaster, where you travel through North Thorne Station and join the route, diverging from Cleethorpes, at Thorne Jn. towards Doncaster.

Thorne to Doncaster
On the fast track now, towards Doncaster, passing though Hatfield & Stainforth station and on we go towards Doncaster flying though Kirk Sandall station which is in the middle of the track, so don’t forget those horns.
